What Is Fitsteps?

FitSteps is a dance-based fitness class that blends the grace of ballroom dancing with the energy of Latin dance. Enjoy styles such as Waltz, Cha Cha Cha and Jive, to name just a few,  set to a variety of  music from the roaring 20’s up to today’s chart toppers.

Short, easy to follow dance routines that strengthen & tone, improve balance and burn calories. Each routine comprises of 4-5 dance steps repeated in a sequence, so they’re easy to pick up, fun to dance and all without needing a partner!

Our Fitsteps classes are inclusive. We welcome individuals of all fitness levels and dance abilities – steps can be adjusted so they are suitable for beginners or those with joint issues, as well as people looking to take their fitness to the next level.

When & Where Is The Class?

Adult Class, Monday’s 6:30pm – 7:15pm – The class take place in Postessie Community Hall, 9 Chancellor Rd, Portessie Nr Buckie AB56 1TD

Adult Class, Tuesdays 6:45pm – 7:30pm – The class takes place in the Dance Studio. Deveron Community & Sports Centre, 81 Bellevue Rd, Banff, AB45 1BY

The Benefits of Fitsteps

Each dance has a different fitness aim – some give you a cardio workout, others have more shaping and stretching to build strength, and then slower dances to help tone. Fitsteps routines help to improve flexibility, coordination and posture, as well as burn calories.
